Yes, we could keep spammers out by requiring approval for joining, but I’d rather keep membership open so curious beginners can join and ask their burning questions right away.  Still, I’ll keep an eye on it; let me know if it continues to be bothersome.

  1. You may have noticed that the Group was frozen for the past two days.  I'm sorry that I was unable to remove the especially unwelcome spam during that time.  Here is the explanation from MSN.   *****************
