Could you be a little more detailed and tell us whether you want to
put the text on your Palm or the shorthand outlines?

Melinda, who owns a Sony Clie that runs the Palm operating system

  2. I have a shorthand pdf (like psetus gave me a copy of the fables.pdf).  I dont know how to load the pdf into my Palm.  I have "Documents to Go" and Adobe Reader on my Palm.  I just dont know how to put the pdf into the HotSync format.

  3. I finally figured out what the problem is.  The HotSync tried to load the fables.pdf into the Adobe Reader but an error occured.  "HotSync operation started 06/17/05 14:30:49
ERROR: The following file(s) could not be installed to the SecureDigital (SD) Card because there is no application on your handheld to open these files.
If you have recently installed such an application, please run that application and then perform a HotSync operation.
     Fables.pdf
    Install To Card synchronization failed
Conduit Error: Unknown error.  (1000)"   How do I fix the problem? Then I tried to reload the Adobe Reader for the Palm.   HotSync operation started 06/17/05 14:47:08

  4. I was toying with that idea the other day, and thought that the best way would be use the Documents to Go feature of the Palm and load pdfs.  I haven't tried it yet.  But I would like to hear other options.  Perhaps download to a memory card?

  5. It should be a simple matter of opening "Documents to Go" in your PC, dropping the file onto the list, and the document will be added on your next hotsync.  I just found out that I needed to get the premium version of DTG to be able to read pdfs.  DTG converts the pdf to a compressed format for the Palm.   Similarly, if you use the Adobe Reader for Palm, you open the application on the PC, select the files that you want to add, then the next time you hotsync, they will be added to your Tungsten.
