The Diamond Necklace

Hello Everyone,

I have “The Diamond Necklace” by Guy de Maupassant written in Gregg
Shorthand. Shorthand plates were written by George Gregg Gingell. This
little book was published by “The Gregg Publishing Company” in 1923.

Question: Do you want to scan this book and put a link on this website?
Also the translation?

I have this wonderful book but am not profienent enough yet in Gregg
shorthand to read it. Can someone help me? My phone number is
606-269-1933.

  1. I'm wondering if there is an interest to put it on your site?

  2. Interesting. I just finished reading the original French version of that story (La Parure unless I'm mistaken).

What do you think of Mr.Guy de Maupassant? I like his style a lot more than authors like Camus, but I still find he's a bit too rawrdeathunfortunatecircumstances! for me to choose for night-time reading. Zola still wins hands-down there 🙂

I haven't had the opportunity to reply to your letter yet Nita (I'm terribly sorry!) because I've been too bogged down with school work to keep up with my Gregg. I'm taking a break from an essay at this moment 😐
