Typing book

Some here recommended Cortez Peters’s book.

Abebooks has some of his book with software. Has anyone tried it? Was it worth getting?

Is the book alone worth it?

It’s for my 9-year old son, who really doesn’t like practicing anything. The version of Mavis Beacon we have uses random letters, and the games aren’t tied to his progress — they use the full keyboard after he learns the first four letters.

Any other ideas?

  1. I have one of the Cortez Peters books.  I can't say his method is much different from any other typing book although his exercises are quite specific (left hand, capital letters, etc.).   While at McGraw-Hill, I did see him type in person and THAT was amazing.   Marc
