(by Michael for group greggshorthand)
The Gregg Group was founded 22 May 2004, prompted by the lack of online shorthand resources. As the primary use for shorthand — business and legal recording — has waned in recent decades, we generally acclaim the skill as a hobby or personal tool. The purpose of the group is to promote the use of Gregg systems of shorthand by providing advice to beginners, support for students, and an association of users of this efficient, attractive, and enjoyable method of writing.

"campus togs" is referring to the type of clothing worn on campus. Is "togs" no longer used when referring to wearing apparel?
Huh. Learn something new every day! I'm 38 and never heard the word "togs". Thanks for the assist!
the igoogle dictionary defines togs as "informal terms for clothing"
and as synonyms lists:
threads, duds
Truthfully I don't think I or my peer group ever used "togs" in our active vocabularies, sounds more like an expression you'd hear in movies of the '30's or '40's, or perhaps in Hardy Boys or Nancy Drew books which were written in the '20's and '30's before the big revisions in the 1960's!
Classic ad! I found this:

"campus togs". "togs" = a slang term for "clothing". Not very often encountered these days!
Though the term applies to fine clothing in general, perhaps this would help.
