The Gregg Group was founded 22 May 2004, prompted by the lack of online shorthand resources. As the primary use for shorthand — business and legal recording — has waned in recent decades, we generally acclaim the skill as a hobby or personal tool. The purpose of the group is to promote the use of Gregg systems of shorthand by providing advice to beginners, support for students, and an association of users of this efficient, attractive, and enjoyable method of writing.

I have read 31 shorthand textbooks in the whole, including digitized books from Internet. I am very glad to make this “Shorthand Terminology” public…
This selection by Albert B. Fall, Secretary of Interior under President Warren G. Harding, appeared in the July 1921 issue of The Gregg Writer as an exercise to be written in shorthand. I wrote it in Anniversary. Attachment: open-letter-albert-fall.gif
Here is the first Anniversary edition of the Diamond Necklace. It is from March 1931. Georgie Gregg Gingell’s 1923 pre-Anniversary plates were slightly modified to conform to Anniversary Shorthand. A little background on this… I began my study of Gregg with the 1929 manual and dictionary, and as I progressed, I noticed that even in 1929 the disjoined prefixes and…
