  1. Thanks so much! I never cease to be impressed by the Gregg organization which effectively overpowered the entrenched Pitmanites and dominated shorthand theory and practice here in the United States in a very short period of time. Not only were the Greggites great salesmen, they emphatically knew how to create a healthy learning environment for shorthand students … from beginning to advanced. The Teacher's Handbooks which have been reproduced here should be read by anyone wanting to learn Gregg for a better understanding of what is required in mastering any degree of shorthand skill. 🙂

  2. Another great vacation read. Many thanks!

They make a good case for much more reading than writing, and minimal dictation at the early stages. There's time enough for new material and speed-building once the proper outlines are rock-solid in my mind. This isn't the obvious "write every passage really fast" approach.

I'm going to start the next push by reading the plates from the beginning again. It's good timing, since the house is rarely calm enough for dictation during the summer break.

    Thanks!
