Again, I couldn't get my cursor in the text box so I'm doing this reply.
I picked up a copy of the "Refresher Course in Gregg Shorthand" at my local thrift shop and boy is it interesting. But it's a Diamond Jubilee Series book and I'm learning shorthand with the two Functional Method books. Now….will this refresher course just confuse me? Are the outlines the same as in the Anniversary (Functional Method) books or are they different? Should I avoid all other 'systems' of learning Gregg shorthand until I've completed the Functional books or is it okay for me to also study this Refresher Course?
Stick with Anniversary (Functional). Some rules and outlines were modified in Simplified and further modified in Diamond Jubilee. If you seriously apply yourself, I'm sure you'll have no problem absorbing the Anniversary rules and outlines.
Did anyone write any refresher course books for the Anniversary method? I'd love to have one in Anniversary just like the DJ was done.
This is encouraging, since I've now committed myself to the Anni Functional Method. Thank you mcbud for looking for this book for me.
Yes, there is one. Let me see what I can do.
I agree. Once you're used to Anniversary, you can read any version of shorthand, and also notice how inefficient other series are.
