Pangrams are sentences that contain all of the letters of the English alphabet. Perhaps the most famous pangram is “The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog.” Here are some others:
1. John quickly extemporized five town bags.
2. Frowzy quacks vex, jump and blight.
3. Quack! glad zephyrs, wave my javelin box.
and probably my favorite:
4. Pack my box with five dozen liquor jugs.
Do you know any others?
I’m a bit partial to “Jackdaws love my big sphinx of quartz” and “Sphinx of black quartz, judge my vow!”.
Wikipedia has lots: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_pangrams
Wow, I didn't realize there were so many!
I know, right? Usually I see or hear four or five at most, and that list has dozens and dozens!
