Gregg Shorthand as a foreign language equivalent

Here’s an interesting little pamphlet from 1926 entitled Gregg Shorthand as an Equivalent of Two Years’ Course in a Foreign Language.

It was written by Elizabeth Starbuck Adams, who is particularly noted as the author of Introduction to Transcription from the Anniversary period.

  1. And just like learning a foreign language, I can already see that if you don't practice and/or use your shorthand skills you will slowly start to forget it. I took 4 years of French in high school and can barely recall much – LOL.
