Hello everyone. I am a reporter who learned Gregg shorthand a bit years ago. Now I want to master the technique to help me record dialogue, as my goal is to use it for stories in newspapers and magazines. Do any members on this site use Gregg for this purpose? If so, did Gregg help you?
My journalistic colleagues use tape recorders. Although using them has clear benefits, it is time consuming and makes frank conversation less likely, in my humble opinion. (Of course, I want to master Gregg to help me get more accurate quotes, but recording dialogue is my ultimate goal). I use the 1929 anniversary edition, by the way.
I used it to take verbatim notes while attending college and it worked very well!
I bet! Thanks.
I used it in college extensively and still use it to take notes at meetings. I don't bother with verbatim notes, just the important points.
