brief form gentlemen

Anyone have any idea why they leave the word “gentlemen” out of the brief form lists?

  1. "Gentlemen" is a brief form in DJS and later series.

In Simplified and earlier series it is classified as a "Special Business Form", just like "Dear Sir", "Dear Madam", "Dear Mr.", etc.

  2. Hi Carlos. Yes, I should've clarified I meant in the earlier series. I figured it was something like that.

It's just that it doesn't seem to make sense. "Dear Sir" etc are *two* words so I can understand calling them "special forms." I found the place in the manual, now. It's no big deal but since "gentlemen" is a single word so this seems odd to me…
