Which System of Shorthand Should we Learn?

This booklet is available on Ebay . . . intriguing title.  And I can’t even speculate about what the answer might be, despite the name of the publisher . . .

  1. I believe I've read a PDF of that obtained from Archive.org. I mainly remember it as an interesting survey of the many systems in use around that time.

The sniping against machine shorthand and Gregg shorthand in a hardcover copy of Pitman's New Era Shorthand I picked up recently was a bit of a surprise. Extended, but names no names. Wish there were a date somewhere in the book! Any concern with other systems is entirely absent from the New Era Anniversary Edition softcover.
