The Gregg Group was founded 22 May 2004, prompted by the lack of online shorthand resources. As the primary use for shorthand — business and legal recording — has waned in recent decades, we generally acclaim the skill as a hobby or personal tool. The purpose of the group is to promote the use of Gregg systems of shorthand by providing advice to beginners, support for students, and an association of users of this efficient, attractive, and enjoyable method of writing.

Our family just moved, so we didn’t homeschool for at least a month, including no Notehand. The kids got really rusty with Notehand and struggled for a few days when we picked it up again. It got me thinking, once we complete the Notehand books, they will have to keep in practice some other way. So I really appreciate that you give us fresh shorthand readings every month, and by your own hand! I know that we will be making use of them to help us keep in practice. Thank you so very much!! You’re a gem!
Thank you! I’m so glad these are being read and that you like them! I usually look for interesting material with good vocabulary practice; have lots to choose from, but always welcome suggestions, :-). For sure, I won’t be writing Dear Mr. Brown letters …
