The Gregg Group was founded 22 May 2004, prompted by the lack of online shorthand resources. As the primary use for shorthand — business and legal recording — has waned in recent decades, we generally acclaim the skill as a hobby or personal tool. The purpose of the group is to promote the use of Gregg systems of shorthand by providing advice to beginners, support for students, and an association of users of this efficient, attractive, and enjoyable method of writing.
I was looking at the Gregg Shorthand key dictionary the other day, and I think it is a great resource. Why don’t I make some sort of bulk translation tool with it? I think it would work better without the dashes (sorry if I’m stepping on anyone’s toes) and I am not aware of software…
I was reading the Anniversary edition of the manual again, and I read how it had been adapted to Gaelic. The edition this was written in is the 1919 Anniversary manual. Can we be sure that the Irish edition is out of copyright by now, or may there be later editions?
Hello everybody! I have had a Gregg Simplified Dictionary for several years. The problem is, I don’t need it, and it’s damaged. One of the inside connections to the spine is completely torn. It could probably be repaired but I don’t need it. I am willing to mail it away for free if anyone will take it.
