The Gregg Group was founded 22 May 2004, prompted by the lack of online shorthand resources. As the primary use for shorthand — business and legal recording — has waned in recent decades, we generally acclaim the skill as a hobby or personal tool. The purpose of the group is to promote the use of Gregg systems of shorthand by providing advice to beginners, support for students, and an association of users of this efficient, attractive, and enjoyable method of writing.
This self-published guide by Roscoe F. Hunt presents a system of writing numbers in Gregg Shorthand. I’m not aware of anyone using this system, but nevertheless, it is an interesting publication. Does anyone else have problem using a comma for decimal and percentage mark? I live in a country where we use a comma for decimal mark, so when I have to use it for percentage mark my brain does “a click” before writing it 😉 I looked for another marks for percentage in different shorthand…
