Has anyone ever used “shaker” mechanical pencils for Gregg? These are mechanical pencils that advance the led by a shake as opposed to pushing the button. I’ve always preferred mechanical pencils because of how they remain sharp compared to traditional pencils. I didn’t like a traditional or a mechanical pencil option for shorthand because of the progressive dullness of the former, and the need to push the button to get more lead with the later. But I find the “shaker” idea compelling as an option for shorthand.

Anyone have any experience with them here? Thanks!
