The Gregg Group was founded 22 May 2004, prompted by the lack of online shorthand resources. As the primary use for shorthand — business and legal recording — has waned in recent decades, we generally acclaim the skill as a hobby or personal tool. The purpose of the group is to promote the use of Gregg systems of shorthand by providing advice to beginners, support for students, and an association of users of this efficient, attractive, and enjoyable method of writing.

I’m not sure of line 18 “… the course of storms ?? is generally…”
Is line 23 “a large PROPORTION”? (I could only think of that word but my dictionary has a final ‘sh’.
And it took me a while to guess, then confirm, “secretary of war”.
Line 18: “in the United States.” These phrases (“Secretary of War”, “Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America”, “in the United States”) are reporting shortcuts, which are much easier to write than the full thing.
For some reason, the shay in “proportion” didn’t come out, but I fixed it. Thanks for letting me know.
