Theory Group 2 – Simplified Dictation Records

Here’s the second box set, called Theory Group 2, which covers Lessons 13-24 from the Gregg Shorthand Manual Simplified 2nd edition text. The recordings are closely aligned to this in-print text. These dictations are 50 wpm.

This set was in a little better shape than Theory Group 1, with fewer scratches/skips.  I created a chart (see below) to show where these are so they aren’t quite so jarring when you come to them.  As always, I cleaned them up and enhanced them as best as I could in Audacity.  As far as the recordings that do have scratches in them go, I recommend listening to them for the first time while following along in the book so that you’ll know what’s coming.

I sure wish McGraw-Hill would re-release these box sets on CD or as mp3’s… this book is, after all, still in print.  I really like that they made recordings to cover every lesson in the book.  I don’t know if that was ever done for any other edition.

The zip file contains 12 mp3 recordings as well as a .pdf file with the chart and photos that you see below.  Each mp3 averages about 6 minutes and covers one complete lesson.  Click here for a key to the Simplified text/recordings.
