Cook’s Memoscript shorthand

Does anyone know anything about this method? I noted that Cook claimed it was great for verbatim court reporting, student’s notes, general corresondence, etc. Presumably also for dirty dishes and the mumps! 🙂 I believe it’s a light line system & so thought that perhaps it was Gregg-related. Godfrey Dewey Personal Shorthand

Hi all, Apologies for the post from the blue- I’m another shorthand fanatic- however my requirements for complete information assurance kind of rule out most shorthand systems. Anyone here a fan of an alphabetic shorthand system? I love writing systems (one contributing factor in my learning Gregg), and it’s always fascinating to see how other people have come up with stenography systems, including ones that are based off the English alphabet. Recently I gave Shortcut Shorthand a shot, but was disillusioned after…

Writing on the bus

Has anyone managed to find a way to write Gregg legibly in a moving vehicle? It may seem like a weird question, but I commute by bus to and from class (40-60 minutes one way) so a lot of my notes are done en route. Gregg works fine until we go over a hill, a…
