This small essay written by the Canadian writer and humorist Stephen Leacock appeared in various newspapers and magazines in the late 30s, and appeared in the June 1939 issue of The Gregg Writer, written in Anniversary.

Actually, "decanters" was the word I couldn't figure out. The rest is "Then, of course, a sort of cellaret cupboard with decanters and bottles and ginger snaps. . . ."
Never heard of "cellaret"; thanks!
