Hi everyone!

Just thought I would take a moment to introduce myself to the group (I tried to do it on the “New Member” post but I kept getting logged off for some reason). My name is Kelsey and I am a PhD student in Social Anthropology. As part of my research I am going to be doing interviews that I won’t always be able to record, but I still can take written notes. My handwriting is quite slow, so I got the idea to learn shorthand. I purchased the Gregg Shorthand Manual Simplified second edition and have been working my way through it. The first few lessons went really well, and then I got a little stuck when I got to the brief forms. I thought a group like this would be an invaluable tool to help me in lieu of having an actual teacher. Looking forward to getting involved!
