The Gregg Group was founded 22 May 2004, prompted by the lack of online shorthand resources. As the primary use for shorthand — business and legal recording — has waned in recent decades, we generally acclaim the skill as a hobby or personal tool. The purpose of the group is to promote the use of Gregg systems of shorthand by providing advice to beginners, support for students, and an association of users of this efficient, attractive, and enjoyable method of writing.

This selection from Today’s Secretary was written in Simplified, and can be read by anyone finishing the first four chapters of the manual. Attachment: the-extra-mile.pdf
This one always puzzled me. It’s easier to continue with the first curve and write the circle inside the first curve, then continue to the second, but instead we change direction right away. Did Gregg (or his team) ever explain why they put it on the back of the first rather than inside the first?…

This small booklet is a compilation of articles from the Gregg Writer on the Lessons of the 1902 edition of the manual (the “Revised Edition”). However, the basic principles apply to all series. Attachment: hints-helps-shorthand-student.pdf
