As the primary use for shorthand — business and legal recording — has waned in recent decades, we generally acclaim the skill as a hobby or personal tool. Hello, My French DJS manual says that -sh is a descending stroke that takes up half of the writing space, and it describes -sion as a “small” descending stroke, which looks definitely shorter than -sh.
