Ruled vs. Unruled

Maybe this has been asked before. I don’t recall. I was wondering what everybody’s take is with regards to writing their shorthand on ruled or unruled paper? Just about every video on YouTube and elsewhere on the Internet it seems that everyone writes on unruled paper. Anyone care to chime in? Thanks! 🙂
