Practice Drills & Notemaking Exercises for Gregg Notehand 2nd ed.
Here’s yet another elusive gem for Notehand. This is a consumable workbook with perforated pages intended specifically for the 2nd edition Notehand textbook (1968). It has really helpful note-taking practice exercises, to get kids to distill the info they read or hear and to put it into their own words via Notehand. Also, the evolution…
Gregg Shorthand Junior Manual
Here’s another elusive gem. I believe Carlos mentioned there are 3 different editions of this text… this one is from 1927. Supposedly there was an accompanying Junior Readings in Gregg Shorthand, too (sorry, I don’t have that one). This volume was intended for personal use (as opposed to vocational) shorthand and the target audience was…
Luathscríbhinn Gregg
Last night, I got a new book from Dublin, the Irish adaptation of Gregg Shorthand, which in their language is called “Luathscríbhinn Gregg” (said like “loo-uh-skree-vin Gregg,” I believe). I put it on the angelfishy site: Luathscríbhinn Gregg The whole book is in Irish except for the foreword, which is in both Irish and English. Now…

Question about books
I only took one year of DJS in high school. After the basic book (I had a Functional Method book) I was wondering if the next books Transcription, Dictation, and Speed Building have any new brief forms or other new “shortcuts” or are they just focused on transcribing properly and knowing proper punctuation and grammar and…
“Gregg Shorthand in Miniature”
Here is an interesting little item. The Anniversary Edition manual in a miniature size: 3 X 4 1/2 inches. Printing is April – 1944 – NP – 4, and there’s an original owner’s signature inside the front cover from April 3, 1947.
Some fun stuff

Thanks, by the way
A quick note to say “thanks” to all the people who contribute to this blog, and who continue to be interested in and fascinated by Gregg Shorthand. Especially to Carlos, who keeps the ball rolling. Shorthand has disappeared from public consciousness, but I’m so glad there are still some people who see it’s value and…
