Le trésor du baobab – part 2 (French)
Hello, as the first part was perfect because no mistakes have been found, I resume and conclude the story. This story is — more or less — an education to courtship. Edit: the changes have been made.
The Gregg Group was founded 22 May 2004, prompted by the lack of online shorthand resources. As the primary use for shorthand — business and legal recording — has waned in recent decades, we generally acclaim the skill as a hobby or personal tool. The purpose of the group is to promote the use of Gregg systems of shorthand by providing advice to beginners, support for students, and an association of users of this efficient, attractive, and enjoyable method of writing.

These summary charts may have been posted on this group before, but I couldn’t track them down. They are found on the inside covers of the various Notehand textbooks. They are very handy. For a related chart of Notehand brief forms, click here.
The Reddit shorthand group (https://www.reddit.com/r/shorthand/ ) has all of the rules in Forkner in 8 sentences, from the textbook. (It’s somewhere on this site, too.) That’s a bit optimistic for Gregg, but it’s a neat challenge. Can we do it in one sentence per group of lessons? Maybe a very short paragraph. Bonus points if…
Hello, here is a nice African fairy tale. It has been written into French by a well-known writer, Henri Gougaud who collected a lot of meaningful stories. I will post it in two parts… For the numbers, I will remove them later… when there will be no corrections to be made. So… by kind permission…
Hello, here are some quotes from Albert Einstein, not the most well-known, I think… Again, feel free to criticize… (must I say it?) 🙂 Edit: changes made.
Hello, on a thread on another website, someone who is very prolific and knows a lot of things, made a list of famous people using shorthand. Next to the name, he put — when he knew it — the type of shorthand. There’s no Gregg shorthand in this list. So I was wondering… who are…
Hello, Here is a Persian poem, whose poetic form is called Ghazal. I will send later the link where I found this poem… I didn’t find the name of the author on this page. Edit: Changes made.
A short transcription of the beginnig of a news article from Le Monde, about the (almost former) Algerian president. This time I have been more careful about using the proper brief forms. The question marks indicate the words I wasn’t sure about (re. my other post about the -ien endings, among othe doubts). Anyway I’ll…
Hello, I want to write the word gestion (which I pronounce jes-t-ion), which I haven’t found either in my (unfinished) readings. Is there a -tion (pronounced TION not SION) special ending? Also, I’m not sure about the ending -ien as in lien, algérien, entretien. Is it written the same way as “ion” (i-n) ? Thanks!
Hello, some quotes from Tristan Bernard, an French author famous for his humour… 🙂 Edit: Updates made.
